Alex and I drove into Killarney for a two night (ahh, the luxury of unpacking a bag) stay in a cool hotel overlooking the surrounding lakes and hills.
We took a fun hike around the lake and through some of the 25,000 acre Killarney National Park. Really nice. Really mellow.
My birthday present from Alex. The driver told us that "Molly" the horse was dark because she drinks Guinness. Wonder how many times he's used that line. But seriously he was awesome and he advised us on the best pub in town in order to watch the Kilkenny hurling. Alex and I didn't know a thing about hurling but after one game (and a few drinks) we are now huge fans. It combines the best of lacrosse, football, and ice hockey.

Happy Birthday to me! Beautiful Irish sunset behind me. I can't think of a better place to spend my 31st! Thanks for all of the birthday wishes and I can't wait to celebrate with everyone when we return home...IN ONE WEEK!
