A quick picture post on our day trip to one of the tiny islands in Stockholm's harbor area. This is what all of the Swedes were doing in this beautiful weather so we thought we'd better go check it out.
We took a 45 minute ferry ride up to the island where a few little wooden buildings housed cafes, restrooms and art galleries.
Yeah Sweden!
I'll say it again, its not quite the Gulf of Mexico, but it was pretty nice. We picked a spot on some rocks overlooking the main channel. Besides being attacked by hungry seagulls, the day was extremely relaxing.
This might be the most surreal photo I have taken the whole trip.
From L to R: tourists taking photos, flock of huge white swans, old machine gun (?), huge cruise liner, and speedo wearing back-tatooed man.
We ate at one of the tiny cafes on the island for dinner. We shared an appetizer of smoked herring. Delicious and oh so Nordic!
